...and Madej's response:
Congratulations on the completion of the renovation project and today's outstanding rededication program. AD Brandon indicated earlier this year that replacement scoreboards could be in place as early as 2011 and IU has installed six HD scoreboards at various venues this year. Do you expect the Big House to have state of the art Megatrons (like FedEx Field's new boards) in 2011? How about Yost and Crisler?

Bruce Madej:
2011 is not necessarily a done deal. The scoreboards have to be changed out and Brandon knows this. He also knows tat if we are going to change the boards at Michigan Stadium we have to change the boards at Crisler Arena at the same time since the production studio handles both. As for YOST, that isn the process too and I would 'guess' we will see a new board within two years--if not next year at YOST. Hopefully, the boards in Crisler and Mich Stadium will be put up at the same time. |

The one guy I think who is going to have a break out year is Mike Martin....the stats might not show a lot because of the position he plays but I think this man is going to be one of the best in the conference if not the nation. As for offense, this is a wow factor type of thing. The qb situation is going to be wild. Believe me, Denard is going to light things up and Tate will provide excitement too. |

Bruce Madej:
Bo was traditionalist--period. He wanted all games to start at 1 pm and he was not excited to see Penn State join the league---despite the fact he loved Joe Paterno. But Bo was a realist. We talked about 'super conferences' back then and he knew it was going to happen. I would love to be bale to talk to Bo about the latest activities, but talking to Bo about anything was so much fun. I really, really miss the old coach. |
