Not sure if you were being facetious or not, but I like the kid. He has a lot of physical talent. He's a little bit reckless, though. Sometimes he plays too fast for his own good and he gets himself out of position. He looks like a Quick to me, although Rivals lists him as a SDE. And people shouldn't look at the fact that he doesn't have any other offers. That might be concerning in November or December. It's January 27, over a year before national signing day. And defensive players often get offered after offensive players do. So...yeah...that's not a big deal.

I didn't mean to sound like a butt head. I really do respect your opinions. I'm not really knowledgeable enough to make a good assessment about a player. I can pick out some stuff, but not to the degree you and other people here can. So, with that said, thanks. Seems like people here like the kid, so I'm pretty happy.

Craig Roh to me. I figure if the coaches think he looks good enough to offer, and from the sounds of it scout will rank him very favorably, then who am I to question... until years later of course when I can say "I knew he would turn out like this". Of course the odds of him committing would have to be astronomically high, as it would make 3 D commits and ZERO O commits or more specifically, slot dots.

Not sure if you were joking... He's listed on Rivals as attending Plymouth High School. Also, Canton's colors (at least when I used to play them in high school) were red. Beyer's team colors are black and white, which were Plymouth's colors when I scouted them in 2005.

I don't know as much about the east side of the state, but over here on the west side near Grand Rapids, division 1 competition is pretty intense with teams such as Rockford (think of Joe Staley-Offensive Tackle for the 49ers) and Muskegon (Terrance Taylor-DT for UM 05-08 and Ronald Johnson-the 5 star WR that got away from UM in 07 and is starring for USC). I'm sure RR has seen him play tough competition at their summer camps as well......

http://www.detnews.com/article/20100128/OPINION03/1280416/1131/sports/W… Webb: Look ahead to next year. Give an early glimpse of Scout.com's top five players in Michigan for the class of 2011. Trieu: Detroit Renaissance linebacker Lawrence Thomas is definitely the top kid in the state. I think Saginaw wide receiver DeAnthony Arnett is pretty locked in at No. 2. Then there is some debate between three through six. We're supposed to submit our rankings this weekend for the Midwest. I think it'll go Thomas, Arnett, Plymouth DE/TE Brennen Beyer, Grand Blanc RB Justice Hayes, and then I'm not sure after that. Ogemaw Heights guard Anthony Zettel and Cass Tech corner Delonte Hollowell are certainly in the running for No. 5
