Great piece OP.  Thx for posting.

It provides a level of detail on running game success that you appreciate when you follow the author deep into his breakdown.

The team, the team, the team.

Speaking of a running game like this, I'm curious to see how Michigan's run game and zone read is able to work with JJ in the game against Georgia.  Obviously this Georgia front 7 is extremely good and I expect our run game with Cade in the game to look a like like it did against Wisconsin and Iowa, decent enough but nothing great.  I think Michigan with JJ in the game behind this oline is likely going to be toughest run game test Georgia will have faced all year.  This Georgia team did well against running QBs v Arkansas and Florida but KJ Jefferson was coming in to that game hurt and Florida proved to be an absolute disaster.  I'm really curious to see what our oline, RBs and JJ can do on the ground here.  Maybe this Georgia run D is that good, but that is going to be a big test for them.

This is a great thing about Harbaugh/Gattis getting JJ so much experience. If we need to adapt to Georgia, the option is there. Whether it goes to work, who knows? But, JJ and Cade have both been put in the best possible situations to be prepared (without any ego).

I’m sure Georgia will try some situational QB switches, but are they ready for it to work out as seamless as our combo? Or, will they waste some plays and team chemistry in the game?

Hutch and Ojabo may land a haymaker if the Georgia OL is not ready to adjust between two QBs. I’m not so worried about the walk-on as I am JT, but Covid has even lessened that. I’m still standing by 35-24 UofM (28-24 late, defense makes a huge play to seal game).

I'm still in shock with how well everything has played out this year after the season we just came off of.  How often do you see teams rotating QBs like this and it works out?  And to do that with one guy being a true freshman?  Just incredible how this has all come together this year.  You are right though that there do not appear to be any egos here getting in the way.  Guys accepting their roles because they want to win.  Its awesome to see this.

JJ is very different from Tebow (thank goodness), but last time I recall a rotation working well was 2006 Leak/Tebow. We may recall how well that worked out for Florida and not so well for OSU. The one massively negative issue that Florida team created was it was the start of the SEC renaissance. Just confirms again how much I hate Urbz.
