OT: Tressel gets Zooked

The Big Ten coaches should form some kind of agreement about this sort of thing.

Ah yes, let's hope Tressel brings that up again at the Big Ten coaches conference.

In fairness, he was asked. He didn't bring it up.
edit: unless he brought it up at a conference prior to last years, that is.

Poor Tress.... Pay backs are hell. Just ask The Vest about stealing a verbal committment in Melvin Fellows away from Zook. Tress and the boys didn't worry that he had already given a verbal to the Illini. Again, as long as the scarlet glasses are on, all is good in Ohio

the gentlemen comment was made by tiller, not tressel

Wrong. Tiller made the snake oil comment, but Tressel very much made the comments about the gentlemen's agreement.

that Tressel was joking or at least implying that there weren't any gentlemen in the big ten based on tiller's standard

Tiller did say that there was a 'gentleman's agreement' in the B10, at the same time as the 'snake oil' comment. Tressel made a smart ass comment 'only between the gentlemen' in reply to a question.

Apparently,Zook violated the Gentlemen Agreement. Oh well! I hope the vest didn't take it personal...

Don't you have to have 2 gentlemen to have a gentlemen's agreement?
Yeah, I thought so.

i thought the gentlemen's agreement went out the window as soon as RR was in the big ten?

Seem the rule was activated when R2 became the HC. However we didn't get the memo until Tiller had made it known to our fanbase.
