OT - Tressel gets a new job
As a gameday consultant for the Colts. whatever that means.

he's going to be looking at instant replay. honestly, that's a shitty job. i hope he hates it and gets every replay wrong.

Back in Bo's day Michigan may have hated OSU but Bo and fans respected Woody after he was fired. I've seen the videos of Bo and Woody and -- once their competition was over after Woody was fired -- they resumed their friendship. Bo acknowledged Woody's greatness (and winning record against UM) and Woody acknowledged Bo's winning record against OSU and against Woody himself.
Tressel's gone, he was 8-1 (or 9-1) against Michigan and he deserves respect.
I'm not sure why folks are behaving so bitterly. It's on Michigan to beat OSU and Yressel shouldn't be blamed for his incredible success. I respect him. It is good for Michigan that he's gone.
I'm sick of all the negativity. Why can't people focus on football -- Michigan football -- and not be so caught up in sour grapes?

Tressel is a liar. AFAIK, Woody was a lot of things, but dishonest was not one of them. If Tressel had integrity and cared about the rivalry enough not to sully it with lies, he would be respected. Cooper, Carr, Bo, Woody, those guys are respected. Save your respect for the people who have earned respect.

Absolutely correct. The tone here is embarrassing.
The MGoCommunity likes to think it is above the RCMB or whatever Buckeye outlet one might peruse, but it's really not. Like anywhere else, it's just a place where fans do fan stuff and that includes a lot of unfocused hatred on rivals.

No. He cheated. Woody may have been a bit crazy, but not a cheater. I'll never respect a cheat.

Tressel is scum. His crimes are unforgivable.

The only job The Vest should ever have again is janitor in a porno movie house.

Nah he'd be ever better as the "FluffVest".

There will be no game day consultant in the NFL with a higher integrity level than the "Senator."

Even if he sees a referee make a blatantly incorrect call, he's not going to know who to tell.

So you consider Michigan a Canadian Province?

Aren't they worried that he will alert Ted Sarniak and then wait months before the Colts find out they should have challenged the play?
