OT - Tom Brady does it again: 399 yards, 4 TDs, in 44-27 victory over Falcons.

He threw for 40 touchdowns this season.  He led the Bucs to an 11-5 record for their first playoff appearance in 13 years. Meanwhile, the patriots had a losing record for the first time since - you know when.  Tom is 43 - and looking pretty awesome out there!

By the way - he set another record today. He started his 299th NFL game, surpassing Brett Favre at 298. #1 all time, #1 in our hearts. Go blue!

I'm not sure why I haven't observed any of the media pundits talk more about Brady in the MVP conversation.

I get Rodgers played lights out, but for Brady to come in to a team with a losing culture and proceed to change the attitude of the team and light up the scoreboard,  I say he is runner up to Rodgers (wishing Tom would win the MVP).

My guess is because Brady has also had a few bad games that just stick out like sore thumbs. He looked awful (as did his entire team) when New Orleans came to Tampa and beat them senseless. He didn’t really do much in the Bucs’ statement game against the Packers, and then just had a few other multi INT games.

Tampa has beat up on the teams on its schedule with losing records or average records, but outside the Packers, they’ve struggled against the winners on their schedule. Swept by the Saints, lost a really ugly game against the Bears, played meh against the Rams and then also lost to the Chiefs.

Absolutely. I do think that should be considered. But the facts still remain that they’ve struggled against the better teams on their schedule, outside of Green Bay. I’m assuming Rodgers hasn’t struggled as much as Brady, hence them being the #1 seed. Hence him also leading Brady for MVP candidacy.

Right after he wins the Super Bowl on Feb 7th, he will shock everyone when, on live TV to accept the MVP of the game, he will announce his immediate retirement along with him becoming the new QB coach at Michigan.

Tampa Bay has the easiest first round playoff matchup, playing the winner of the NFC East who will have a losing record. I'm sure Belichick is having major regrets.

And he did it almost completely without Mike Evans, who went down in the middle of the first quarter with a nasty looking knee injury and may be done for the postseason.

That AB signing is starting to look like the life insurance policy that Tampa never knew it needed. He looks like he’s starting to hit his stride, and Tampa would’ve been in serious trouble without him if Evans is indeed lost for the postseason.

And, most importantly, positive rushing yards! Brady gained 3 yards on the ground today on 5 "rushes"

Unfortunately, that means his career YPC will go down to just over 1.6 from...just over 1.6
