OT: Talking Cars Tuesday - Mopar or No Car

Submitted by JeepinBen on

After a brief hiatus we're back like a Demon. And I don't mean the little roadster concept. We talked about Ford's and GM cars, now it's time for the folks from Auburn Hills. What are your biggest FCA / Chrysler Group / Diamler Chrysler / Chrysler / Etc memories? Did that thing have a Hemi? Do you know what a Hemi is? Are you like me and a 2 time Jeep owner? Do you sigh when you pass steel blue TJs on the road?

Let's hear your Chrysler stories!

My first poster on my wall was a Charger 2.2 liter (when they advertised that as the 'big engine' car) with Kelly Harmon in a race suit on it.

My family was originally all Ford, but in the mid 80's began to change. We got a 2.2 liter Charger, an '84 Minivan, then, over time, a Dodge 600 Turbo convertible, a K-car, a Dynasty, and a LeBaron. We were able back in the day to get on the Lynch Road marshalling center so we got some great deals.

We also got an XJ. Since then I've owned an LH and a ZJ and now have an XK.

Everything so far has lasted into the 200K's without major issues. the biggest single issue we had when young was the minivan whose tranny died at about 60K. Other than that it was all good.

I know other people have had bad luck with Chrysler products, but I've always been well served by them.

Chrysler of the 90's was a great company. I wish they hadnt' gotten sold out to Daimler.
