OT: Talkin' 'bout coaches salaries, here's what Weis is makin'

Submitted by Hoken's Heroes on

I was sorta suprised that Charlie decided to leave the NFL to go back to college ball but that just says a lot about how he actually enjoy college ball more so than the pros, imho.

And he's getting paid pretty well to be the OC at Florida. Now it's time to see if he's a better OC than a HC at the college level

No, I think he went there because his kid was already headed there.

Think about it: you have the power to still compete at a high level, still get paid big bucks, and be around family that you have probably had to spend wayyyy too much time away from. It makes a lot of sense.

Edit: There's more to the story. His son has a job with Muschamp. Link.

Plus a signing bonus ?,  A car provided for him ?, Does it come with a pre-paid gas card or a UF credit card ?.  His offense looked pretty pathetic against the Ravens D in the playoffs.  Oops sorry that was Greg Mattison & co.

As someone who teaches at a college, and who watches adjunct faculty have to teach six classes to make $20,000 a year, this bugs me just a little bit...

Among any number of other reasons to leave the Chiefs for the Gators, Weis has a daughter with fairly significant developmental problems. I suspect (and would like to believe) that he went back to college in part because the NFL demands too much time away from family.

There used to be a couple of American buffet-style restaurants in Gainesville, but they closed down and there are now none, according to Google.  Coincidence?  I think not.
