Thanks - I’m never going to try posting again on my phone, it always goes wrong somehow.

Hopefully with time I can re-create my post a bit more professionally, seems a bit lacking at present.

Teaser - I’m a fan of manball personally, with 1 bomb to Nico mixed in each drive.

As you go back and edit your post I'd try to clarify if you're talking about in-game speed vs in-game strength, ie the kind of play calling and types of players you recruit, or are you talking physical skills of players like 40-yd dash vs bench press numbers for example?  I don't have a lot to share on the football game side of things like play calling & scheme, but I do have plenty I can share in terms of the physiology and exercise programming of developing speed vs strength, which is easier to train, which is more likely to improve, and which is more likely to translate to sports performance versus just doing drills or lifting weights.

Comments made shortly before 2007 Rose Bowl, won by USC 32-18.

"Lane Kiffin, USC's offensive coordinator, said the stereotype exists because of the second-tier Big Ten teams.

"When you look at the Big Ten as a whole, there is not a lot of speed," he said. "Now that's not the case with Ohio State or Michigan."

Still, when asked what he noticed about Michigan's defense, he replied: size.

"They tend to get bigger guys," he said. "I don't know if that's the way they recruit. But when you look at their linebackers and linemen, there is about an average of two inches and 20 pounds compared to our guys."

Size, he said, is not something USC covets.

"We go for speed," he said. "That's just our philosophy."
