Don't like that front office.  Trading away James Harden instead of going for one more shot at a title was a bad miscalculation.  They will either have to let Durant or Westbrook go, or risk paying for two max contracts and little space to bring in anyone else.  Whoever takes this job is assuming a lot of risk when it comes time to sign those two guys.

If Donovan was smart, he'll wait for Calipari to leave UK and replace him.

Coaching absolutely is a big deal and it's imperative to have a very good to great one to win championships. Look what Steve Kerr, a guy that learned from the 2 greatest contemporary coaches ever has done with basically the same Warriors team Mark Jackson had. When Shaq came to Miami, Riley didn't want to coach, he had to because he didn't have an ES in place to get them over the hump without him. Had Erik not worked out, better believe we would've seen those sharp ass suits and hair gel back patrolling the sidelines for Bron, Wade and Bosh. Look what Brad Stevens has accomplished even while the Celtics front office tried to pull a Philly while not filling Brad in on the plan I guess. Coach K, Rick Pitino, Billy Donovan & Izzo have more tourney success than Coach Cal while more often than not fielding less talented teams because they're better coaches. Stan Van Gundy dragged Dwight Howard and spare parts Bron and a 60+ win Cavs team, the Celtics Big 3 and then lost to the Lakers because he was/is a better Coach than Mike Brown and Doc and not as good as Phil Jackson (Kobe and Pau help too!).

It's too bad Scotty is gone. People complain about the simplicity of the offensive schemes they ran, but it comes down to Russell Westbrook just being one of the stupidest people in the league, and incapable of running a complex offense (coming from an NBA scout friend)

I think OKC is going to start struggling soon. I believe KD will go to his hometown to play for the wizards, he was very vocal in a positive light about LeBron returning home, and I think he feels strongly about going back o Washington. He wizards hav a nic Kung team, if they could add a healhy durant they would be title contenders. As or Scott Brooks, I think he was given ample time to provide a championship. They of there a few years back but were beaten 4 games to 1 by Miami. Seems like since then either Westbrook or Durant have been injured. I think letting go of Harden instead of finding a a way to make one more run at a hampionship was a poor move by the front office giving Brooks less weapons. I think Brooks is a solid oath, should get picked up by another nba team, or take a job in the college game like so many nba laches have done recently.
