OT: RichRod and last night's game

Submitted by Snidely Doo Rash on

Anybody know how UUVU selected Bill Stewart as interim coach?  Was RR involved?

I was pretty impressed with the Doc Holliday until they did the collapse, then I thought Stu and present staff played out the game well but he still seems like a chimp/chump.  And, why not Castell?  Anybody know if RR still in touch or severed ties?

Then there was the bad blood stuff between the doc and the Stewart.  What was that was about?

Great game.  Felt bad for Marshall and hope they keep it going.  Marshall to the not so big east along with Villianova?

That fumble on the 4 yard line killed Marshall. They could have iced it away with a FG and turned the ball over. Did anyone else notice the references to "Little Brother/Big Brother"? They've played 10 frickin' times in 100 years. Let's show a little restraint before throwing those terms out there to describe any instate school relationship.

WRT the OP: Stewart is a joke. I think Doc wanted the job when RR left and it went to Stewart instead. Hence "bad blood" I guess. Casteel is a decent D coordinator, but I don't know much about him.

because of his experience with the program and willingness to take the helm. he won the job by beating oklahoma. i disagree that stewart et. al showed success in the last 4th. they just ran a better 2 minute drill and marshall was worn down/not getting holding calls.

Stewert was the interim guy and the emotion following the Oklahoma victory lead to him finally getting the job, since he seems like such a nice guy and all and they don't want any mercenarys and blah blah blah.
