OT PSA: Dark Knight Rises tickets now on sale

Submitted by M-Wolverine on

Just to let everyone know, the tickets have gone on sale as of noon.  If you want a midnight showing in your area (particularly IMAX, as a good portion is filmed in IMAX), it wouldn't hurt to check sooner rather than later. (I know my IMAXs were sold out weeks in advance for the last one). First show 12:01 am July 20.

To give the post a little more meat and entertainment-

to me.  TDK I thought was visually amazing and had some really good scenes but overall the movie gets alot more hype than it deserves imo.  Can someone explain why Morgan Freeman ( alfred ) was so upset about in the one scene when he was asked to spy on peoples phone calls to find the joker.  I didnt understand all the drama and why it caused him to quit

I am right there with you. Unfortunately I dislike Anne Hathaway just as much. I never thought I would say but its too bad Katie Holmes had to get killed off. They chose three of the most annoying actresses in Hollywood for these movies in my opinion. If they come out with a surprise fourth movie I'd bet a hundred bucks they cast Kirsten Dunst and Drew Barrymore in it. Unfortunate because I love these movies.

I wasn't all that impressed originally by Batman Begins. I thought Ra's Al Ghul and The Scarecrow were sort of weak villains and Katie Holmes was just bad.

I didn't buy into any of The Dark Knight hype and didn't see it until it was out on Blu ray at my friends but man did I regret not seeing it in theaters. Sure it's got plenty of suspension of disbelief moments but the action is excellent and the story is very good.

Action movies unless they are something conceptual like Inception should have the biggest leeway getting away with plot holes and implausibilities. Just sit back and enjoy.
