OT: Parenting in Ohio
Apparently it involves biting children's genitals.

The rivalry has gone too far.
In all seriousness, it's unsettling to see just how disturbed some people can be.
sick and wrong. I know you were trying to be funny... but child abuse is really not a topic for humor.... any way that you try to spin it....
lets move on to something better... okay?
no one's laughing.
Making a "parenting in Ohio" joke about this grim situation is not cool.
In all seriousness, child abuse is a terrible thing, and any bite hard enough to leave marks is way, way too hard, and constitutes child abuse.
That said, it can be very difficult to stop a child who is prone to biting, hitting or otherwise hurting others. Often times, the best way to stop it is to demonstrate to them how things that hurt are bad. Many parents these days view any physical punishment as abuse. You can't bite your child like that. It's just wrong. But I fear the day when someone goes to prison for a spanking.
of the bites is where it goes completely off the rails. Sorry if I offended anyone, I didn't mean to make light of the child's situation. It was just a dig at the state of Ohio, but it was probably a bit much.
Sad that the kids were taken into foster care. Obviously they couldn't stay with this guy and the mom was charged as well. Bad situation all the way around.
to the point i gagged as i read it ... i love making digs at ohio too but this has gone too far ... i might understand him bitting the kid once on the forearm to demonstrate that it shouldnt be done and just doing it to hard but the location of the bits and overall number is absolutly and positvly sick
is in the drinking water in Columbus? Sad part is that this is probably the way his parents raised him. If dumb is all you know, then dumb is all you will do.
If anyone had any lingering doubts, you've just proven your idiocy to the world.
This is what happens when you let your football allegiance guide your opinions of every human being on the face of the earth. Ugh.
The Calvin avatar should have served as enough proof.
How in the fuck is biting a two year-old's genitals only "second degree child abuse?"
Where is the sexual misconduct charge here? Was he allowed to "plea out" on this?
I don't care what state this guy is from; AFAIC, he should spend some time in jail for this, and he should have register as a sexual offender for a few years when he gets out.
As in the poor kid had bite marks on "his torso, back, neck, arms, face, buttocks and genital area." This suggests that the bites could be somewhere on his crotch, near his genitals, but not actually on his genitals.
Either way, could we (we being the original poster here, not you) at least restrict these sorts of posts to current or ex-football OSU players?
