"Oklahoma senior linebacker. Unbelievable. RT @Jake_Trotter: Confirmed, Austin Box has passed away."
Thanks for linking
Edit: okay never mind, thanks with no sarcasm now.
very sad to hear. thoughts and prayers go out yo his family, friends and teammates.
on high alert. RIP Austin Box
Uhhh... rest in peace, I really liked his game, it's unbelievable
my heart goes out to his family
Is it just me or has this been happening a lot more often now than before? Maybe it's because just recently have I become mature enough to be impacted by these kinda of things, but in the history of college athletics, have there been this many current players passing away before?
RIP, brother.
EDIT: Not sure how this was "funny", but I was not trying to make light of a very sad piece of news. Thanks anyway.

"Far too many athletes dying young right now. Austin Box, Aaron Douglas, Michael Baze, Derrick Boogaard ... so many tragic headlines."
Just really sad, these guys are about 4 or 5 years younger than me.
refrain from the euphemisms? The young man died. He didn't "pass away". Especially relevant when discussing the death of a football player.
Passing away=dying. Why avoid euphemisms. Their intention is to make something bad sound a little less bad. Why is that being frowned upon?
Kid dies and you want to be a stickler about euphemisms...? Right. Because that's the most important thing in all this.
Here's a story with some details on Box's passing.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Sooners...22 is too damn young.
Man that's terrible. I used to have an employee who played for Jenks that used to always brag about breaking his arm in the State Championship. Box literally carried that Enid team playing both LB and QB. I felt he could of had a breakout year this year if he stayed healthy.
he and his family
Even one athlete dying young is too many, but it seems to be happening way too often this year. Condolences to Austin Box's family.
Best wishes to Austin and his family during this time. It seems like the older I get, instead of being better able to process these kinds of things, they just bum me out more. Hopefully, through better oversight, we can reduce the number of deaths and injuries to these young people.
Dr Saturday is reporting:
Not good.
RIP. Really, just too bad. Makes you realize how inconsequential all the quibbling about college athletics is, if you ask me. My thoughts with his family and the Sooner community.
