OT: Michigan Fan Fantasy League
I have started a new Michigan fan fantasy league. The league will be on cbssports.com and all the money other than the cost of the website goes directly to winners. There will be a $60 entry fee. Also, this would be an auction league (if you used the auction format for drafts it is the best) with the opportunity to keep 2 players for next year in accordance with the rules ($10 or less auction value) after this year.
This will be a start 2 QBs (I haven't done this and like all my leagues to have a little different feature). Please leave your email address if you are interested and want more details or if you have questions. Looking for two more owners.
Draft will be August 31st at 7 PM EST.
Here is how I would envision the rules to work (though these would not be absolute and welcome to suggestions):

Auction Draft: Each owner will have $200 (not literal money only fantasy money) to spend on all 20 roster spots (please note that this is not the entry fee, but merely the salary cap for the draft, I'm thinking the entry fee would be something like $60 depending on what the other league members want). Keep in mind that you must have one dollar to spend on each roster spot (in other words you could have three players that account for $183, but all other players must be $1 players)
The auction process will be online through the cbs website at a time convenient for all owners. We need all owners present to conduct the draft.
Keepers: You will be able to keep 3 players for draft/free agency for next year. You will be allowed to keep 2 players in which you paid no more than $10 for in the draft or in blind bidding. Each keeper may be a free agent acquisition which the free agent will retain its value used for the blind bidding process. In subsequent years, each player maintains its draft status for keeper status plus 25% of the previous year's value, rounded up to the nearest value.
Clarification on Keepers: You will be able to keep a player that had an original value of $10 or less as long as you want to. However, subsequent year the player's value increases by 25% rounded up to the next dollar if the player maintains a value of $10 or less. If the player you are keeping with an original draft value of $10 or less has a current value of greater than $10 in the previous year (this situation will only occur in the third year of the league on), then you will add 20% of the assigned value from CBSsportsline's draft value (if CBSSportsline assigns the player a value of $40 and your current value of the player is $11, the next year you would be able to keep the player for $19). In other words, you can still keep players once they are past $10 assuming their original value was $10 or less.
A player may be traded for "draft" currency, but all players must maintain the same salary cap. For example I trade you Player A and you give me $10 of your draft currency for the current year only. I would have $210 available on draft night and you would only have $190 available on draft night. Once the draft is done, everyone will still have $220 of salary cap available. I will only have $10 left and you will have $30 left for trades and free agency. Also, I could envision situations where I say, I'll give you Player A for $10 per year of draft currency for the next 3 years.
Head to Head: Every week you will have one opponent that will count towards your record.
Add/drops: A blind bidding system will be in place which will be transacted on Thursday morning. If two people bid on the same player and one player bids $1 for the player and the other owner bids $10, the owner that bid $10 will win the player and pay $10 in free agent cash for the player. Every player will begin with $10 in free agent money. For additional money, it will cost you $1 for $2 in free agent spending money. A maximum of $220 will be allowed to be on your team at any one time.
Trades: Trades are $2 per trade per team. Trades will be voted on by the league. There will be a two day voting period and if there are more than 3 "no" votes, then the trade will be void.
Divisions: There will be two divisions based on where you have bid in the draft (all odd number bids will be together and all even number bidders will be together)
Keepers: Keepers must be submitted to the commissioner no later than one week before the draft.
Playoffs: Playoffs will take place in week 15 and week 16. The winner of each division and two wild cards (regardless of division) will make the championship playoffs. There will be a consolation playoffs for the next four teams. For division winners, ties will be determine through the following order: 1. Head to Head record 2. Division Record 3. Power Rating 4. Points 5. Arm Wrestling match. All other ties will be determine through the following order: 1. Head to Head record 2. Power Rating 3. Points 4. Arm Wrestling match. All playoff ties will be broken by the team with the better record during the regular season, then in the manner as described above from the regular season.
Payouts:
Entry Fee pot payout (after deductions of website fee):
15% to each division winner (regular season)
10% to points winner (regular season)
40% to championship playoff winner
15% to championship playoff runner-up
5% to consolation playoff winner
Add/Drop money will be split in between five prizes:
1. Pick'ems winner (selected weekly)
2. Top fantasy QB
3. Top fantasy RB
4. Top fantasy WR
5. Top fantasy TE
Roster: 20 players will be on your roster, you will be granted one "IR" roster spot for players that have been placed on the "IR" for the year.

I'm interested in a fantasy league where debilitating injuries don't happen at crucial positions 18 days prior to the season.
