OT- I'm probably just spending too much time here.

Last night I had a dream (nightmare?) about the Michigan-Western Michigan game. It's freaking February. It's seven months until kickoff. We lost 24-14. Tate was erratic and ineffective. He was wearing #9 and even in my freaking dream I was all like "Uh, no dumbass, he's supposed to be wearing #5. WHATEVA!" Anyway, we floundered around for the first two quarters but managed to be up 6-0 at half. (Gibbons!!!) Then I played a game of NCAA '09 (because REAL football is boring? I have no idea) and when I turned it back the game was over and I was sad. On the other hand, I do remember thinking, "Well, at least we scored a TD." It was not the most awesome dream I've ever had. I'm sure no one cares, but if I'd told anyone else about this they'd probably think I was, you know... obsessed or something.

When watching a Michigan game-- any Michigan game, be it in a dream or otherwise-- some simple rules apply: 1. You NEVER turn it off at halftime. 2. You NEVER turn it off to play NCAA. I did this once in the 90's, and we lost. 3. You NEVER turn it off to watch another game, even if it means watching Ohio State lose. 4. You NEVER turn it off. You live and die with the team. ------- As for the dreaming Michigan football, don't feel so bad. I have dreams about our games probably once a week. Last month I had a dream that Braylon retired from the Browns to come back and play for the Wolverines (that was a particularly good one). I'm sure many of us here have UM football dreams-- I couldn't NOT think about Michigan football at least once in a day if my life depended on it, so it goes without saying that it spills into the subconscious from time to time.

Oh, of course. I'll play some NCAA in the middle of a Boise State-New Mexico game or something, but I refuse to change the channel on an M game. Period. So yes, I blame myself. For my dream.

I had a dream about the Michigan-Deleware St. game last night. This was unexpected since this is only the third time I've remembered dreaming about an actual game. I think this had something to do with checking mgoblog right before I went to sleep and seeing that whole front page filled with reminders that Michigan is playing Deleware State on October 17th at 1 PM. In the dream, Tate led the team down the field to the 15 yard line. Then Denard Robinson, wearing #17, came in for a play and ran a zone read keeper to perfection, jogging into the endzone. That's all I remember.

here and I thought I was the only crazy obsessed bastard that came to this site. after the UM O$U game in 2006 I had to go and lay down. I almost vommited and could not sleep for a week before the game. I have managed to tone it down over the last 2 years but let's face facts, it has been easier to not get overlyexcited. When we start doing well again the sleepless nights may come back. So that being said I hope I start to lose sleep again. GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!

I was leaning over the table at a bar waiting for the last field goal versus Appy state, basically praying that it would go in to save at least some of the embarrassment. As I watched it get blocked the waitress thought i was passed out drunk. Yes I was drunk, with emotion. I thought back to that moment as I watched them lineup for the kick against Toledo, to which i said out loud at the time "well, there is no way we are making this chip shot and saving this embarrassment." I digress, Let the football revolution commence.

If we would have made that FG, it would have saved 99.9% of the embarrassment. The vast majority of the college football world did not see that game. They just found out later that we lost.

You're definitely not alone, I dreamt about the Purdue game a few weeks ago. I'd say I wake up in a cold sweat on about 50% of Saturday mornings in the fall. Then I remember that the game hasn't started, reassure my subconscious that Michigan will win, and try to force myself to go back to sleep. For some reason, it wasn't quite as effective this year.

Well, I dreamed that we beat Ohio State last year, sometime in the week leading up to the game. So I'm going to call into question the accuracy of dreams as a predictor of actual future performance. At least, mine. Though I do admit to turning off the Michigan game every now and again - when the UVA game is on at the same time. Policy is to watch whoever's doing better. This policy did not help me make many decisions last year.
