That's too bad. I remember Fred really buffed up at some point and became a health nut. Didn't he do the Lions preseason game last week?

I worked with Fred when he did Pistons games, he was a pleasure to work with. 67 is way too young. I think I heard him do the Lions preseason games on TV this year. Very surprising to learn of his death.

Incredibly sad news.  My oldest son worked out with him almost daily at a gym in Rocky River, Ohio.  Fred was, by all accounts, one of the nicest and most liked broadcaster here in Cleveland and my Twitter timeline is flooded right now with people just devastated by this news.

Goodbye and Godspeed Fred.  I will ALWAYS remember you for this moment.

I loved working with Fred. I did a lot of Pistons games with him and FSD. I would travel to Cleveland sometimes and work a cavs game and he would always light up with a smile and say hello, he was always happy to see a familiar face from Detroit. I worked with him in Houston just a few weeks ago on the Lions pre-season game... you never know when someone will be gone. Love your family, live life to the fullest. Rest easy Fred. You will be missed.
