OT: Drupal Question
Anyone know how Brian selectively chooses posts to have the "read more" option?
I'm new to drupal and it seems like the only way to manipulate post lengths is to change the "Length of Trimmed Posts" on the "Post Settings" screen... But this trims all my posts... There are certain posts I want the full text to show on the main page, and others I don't.
Any help would be appreciated! (Oh, and I've searched drupal.org with no luck).
From the limited amount that I have worked with it, I recall that there were post types (Front page, Diary, Forum Post, Wiki, etc.). I think you need to set that up and then trim the Front Page type posts.
Technically, diaries can also have the break inserted in them. All of my breaks are inserted before they reach the front page, and can be seen that way if you look at "my blog".
<!--more--> is the html inserted in for mgoblog.
Like I said, I was working off of limited experience and memory. I just wanted to give him something to go off of in case someone else, more knowledgeable than myself, did not come in with an answer.
<!--break--> inserted anywhere in the content will create a jump.
Let me know if you have a Rupaul question.
Thanks everyone! The <!--break--> works perfect.
Why is something that seems so easy, so difficult to find on the drupal site? It's very cloak and dagger over there!
