OT - Conference Room Drama Video Prior to Lane Kiffin's Farewell Speech

Submitted by .ghost. on
It gets a little testy in there! The last 10 seconds are great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dbNBd4S8II EDIT: Sorry, I did not realize that this had been posted by entirely reasonable in the Kiffin Takes Parting Shot thread. I searched for other threads with this content, but couldn't find anything.

Man, that balding guy needed to give it a rest. I imagine this is how the local West Virginia press acted when Rich Rod left.

The news director is protecting the one asset his station has. If a paper runs a quote, you either always believe the quote or you never believe the quote (based on how you feel about the paper). If you're a fan and a subscriber, you always believe the quote. (why would you read a paper you don't trust?) Television has never tried to establish that trust. They just show you the recording of the people giving the quote. Take away that clip and they have nothing to go on. So the news director is standing his ground in order to protect his product.

They were still allowing audio recording though. To me, it seemed like they were trying to get Kiffin and/or the PR guy to "snap". I mean, why else did the one guy loudly proclaim, "He is such a snake." He wasn't saying that in the interest of journalistic integrity.........

Unless it involves red neck Tennesseans yelling at or acosting kiffin, or pics of kiffins hot wife, its not worth watching. Sorry guys, this is an epic fail. Go Blue. Gettin ready to go to Centerfolds on John R...who's in? My wife is dancing tonight.

why the hell was the ad standing up for kiffin, he just absolutely screwed that program over for years to come and the ad is still trying to be a nice guy and give into kiffin's demands. what for?

Who cares? I was really expecting one of two things.. a heartattack or possibly a broken bottle standoff.. slightly disappointed. Tennessee is better off without Kiff McGiff. USC is in the same boat with him. Like Daddy always said, winners never quit, and Lane Kiffin sucks at coaching.
