Mike and Mike just reported that Chris Henry has died. Terrible story, it was looking like he had begun to turn his life around.

Regardless of the events surrounding a death or the past a person has been a part of it is always sad when someone dies. Everyone is someones father, brother, sister, cousin, wife etc etc etc and they leave a void the lives of loved ones when they pass. As a Dr. I see it far too often and fear that as time passes I will somehow become desensitized to people passing. To this point I have not, and hope it reamins that way. Not that death isn't bad enough on its own, but to lose a loved one during this time of year must be especially hard. My heart goes out to his family and hope they somehow find a way to get through this. RIP Chris.

Sad news, Its really hard when something like this happens. Kids tend to look at athletes like they are super heroes. Super Heroes are not supposed to die. I wish the best of luck to Chris's family.

R.I.P. Mr. Henry It saddens me everytime I hear of a story like this. A family lost a loved one. I pray for them and any others who's lives he may have touched. May he always be remembered in a positive way. I know I will go home today and give my wife and daughter a huge hug and kiss because you may never know when you might get another chance.

It is so sad to hear about a story like this. Everyone that brings up a person's past after a tragic accident like this are pathetic. Any loss of life is a tragedy.

That's the only word that comes to mind. How his Fiancé will find a way to let the guilt she will undoubtedly have is beyond me. Can't stop thinking of his kids and the affect this will have on their lives. Tragic.

That's a messy situation. I had the chance to watch Henry play a lot in college, and he was a very special talent who didn't totally achieve his potential in the NFL. But he was definitely on the right track after his past transgressions. My prayers go out to his family and friends.. damn.

I know Barwis just read this and shed a tear. He was instrumental in the lives of Henry and Pacman Jones. RIP Henry, may you find peace, wherever you are.

Terrible news. It is always a loss when someones dies. He is someones father, brother, or son. Like I mentioned in another thread, this story hits me harder than most. A few months ago I was in a similar accident, and I am thankful every single day I am still alive. This is not the time to bring up mistakes he made in the past. Remember the good and forget the rest. RIP #15

From a bengals fan, who has watched and read of how you had changed your life for the better, this is a very sad ending to what was looking like such a bright future. You will be missed by many on and off the field. RIP Slim

This eerily similar to what happened to Sean Taylor. Both guys were not playing with their respective teams due to injury, which inadvertently led to their deaths. I always brought his name up when people would say that RR's scheme would not produce a dominant receiver. The timing of this is so terrible. Just when he was making changes in his life, and also with it being just a week before Christmas. God bless you Mr. Henry. Despite what some degenerate people are saying about you, you are in the thoughts and prayers of countless people from Morgantown to Cincy to everywhere else.
