Has anyone else noticed that people from Oregon seem to be especially full of how great Oregon is? I've not been there myself, so I can't judge, but everyone I've ever met from Oregon just won't shut up about how amazing it is. Must be something in the water.

I'm not from Oregon, but I would sell my left ball to live there.

There are people from Oregon?
It could be that they just never leave the state because it's so awesome, so I never end up hearing about just how awesome it is.

There was a woman from work who moved out there with her new husband, divorced him, then moved back. He loved the state. She HATED it. Large part of the reason for the divorce.

I have lived in Oregon for 28 years; It's great.
Cool, rainy winters; warm, dry summers.
Ocean, mountains, rivers, lakes.
People are generally pretty laid back.
Job prospects can be tough, especially at entry level, due to in-migration from across the nation.
Worst thing is the frickin' Oregon Ducks and their bandwagon fans. Beaver fans aren't bad.

It's kinda funny to see people of all ages wearing orange and black t-shirts which proudly proclaim "I'm a Beaver believer"

Portland is a nice city, very modern and convenient. If you are into scenic stuff and outdoor activities it is cool. I would rather be in Cali or Washington though.
