Forgot about mcgrone. Never really made an impact at Michigan. One more year would have been interesting

Notre Dame and Iowa in 2019 are my only memories of him

McGrone was from Indianapolis so he is going home for Christmas after a road trip to Ann Arbor and New England. Best wishes and hope that his career takes off from here.

Really want Hinton to catch on. Kid got some bad advice. He really was a year away. Hope he does it, even if it’s the hard way.

Especially if he had Elston coaching him up this year.

No doubt, I think he's seen that now but hindsight and 20/20 vision. You know how the family regards Michigan with his brother transferring in, imo that says a ton about Harbaugh and co.
Would have been great to have him this season, but the defense has been fine.

Good luck McGrone

McGrone was hurt and wasn't going to play in his final year anyway. He would have had to take a medical red shirt and wouldn't be eligible to play for 2 years.
So despite being hurt opted for guaranteed NFL money.
Can't blame him.

McGrone tore his ACL in November 2020. He likely would have been out most or all of 2021. By leaving, he freed up a scholarship that was used on a class of 2021 recruit. McGrone received a paycheck from New England while rehabbing. It was a win-win for Michigan and McGrone. And he ends up on an NFL team in his home town five days before Christmas (or on the third day of Hannukuh).

This was likely already mentioned, but I was surprised to see Daylen Baldwin getting snaps (and making catches) for the Browns this past Sunday. Just promoted from their practice squad.

I am very pleased to see these young men on the precipice of achieving their dreams. I hope they play well and stick around.

Glad to see Hinton never gave up after things didn’t go as he planned in the draft and with catching on last season. He was a talented player and while I think he should have stayed longer here, it is a testament to something about his character that he stuck with it and made a roster. Hope to see him back on campus cheering on his brother as well!
