Yea you never really think about how much pressure he had to of had coming down on him, with only what like a month to try to learn the playbook and then get thrown into the fire? That must of been insane how nervous he was at times. Glad to see he is turning into a better QB.
about what we saw, RR said there were three units that ran about 150 plays. We saw only a few highlights, some offense and some defense. There will be plenty of evaluations to go around when the film is reviewed. Like Tate, I would have layed on the ground for a few seconds as well, if I had put the ball on the carpet that close to the goal line. What I did see gave me great reason for encouragement besides the loose balls.
Is Jackson working with the 1st team offense and Stonum with the 2nd team? Is Stonum in the doghouse? Is Jackson that good? That was a pretty catch in the corner...
Anyone else notice that when Tate did ball fakes it actually looked like he was trying to sell it?
on one of them.
It is now being reported that Denard is now running with the 1's.
I don't know how true that information is but that is what's being reported over on Rivals.
I think it was always Tate and Denard sharing snaps with the 1's.
So I just watched this again, and a thought occurred to me.
It has been said that the o-line may be a big strength for our team this year. And yet, as I watched, I saw the defense getting good, solid penetration on several occasions. The kind that only Graham and RVB got at all last year. I also saw some ugly long runs, so it clearly needs work, but all this makes me think that the 3-3-5 with our current speed will have an excellent chance at getting to the QB.
With OSU's strength this year being at QB, assuming Pryor is healthy... I like our chances.
