New BBall Offer - 2021 EM 4* Kobe Bufkin
I'm glad they finally offered him, hopefully it's not too late.
Attention now shifting to 2021. Juwan also contacted 21 offer Jaden Akins and had a nice convo with him this afternoon before offering Bufkin
Nice! Gonna have a big class, itd be nice to have some instate talent to be a part of that class
About time!
Matt, is there anyone likely for Michigan anytime soon to get this class kicked off?
Regardless of what mainstream services may claim, none of our 2021 offers are likely to commit to Michigan in the immediate future.
Juwan Howard targets a different tier of prospect, and that inherently translates to recruitments of said prospects dragging out longer.
Recruiting will not be an issue under Coach Howard.
Not trying to be a heel here but not much separates Bufkin and Akins from Brooks and Izzo was able to get him to commit early?
The thing is Pierre was a HUGE MSU fan, their style of play fits his game perfectly and PJ was offered nearly a year ago with interest dating back 3 years.
Really the perfect intersection for a commitment. I subtly hinted at that since the Summer last season.
Different scenario here with a new coach in Juwan Howard.
Ok, thanks for the response. Sucks with the way 2020 ended, but I'm going to have to learn patience I suppose.
How would you rank Michigan kids in 2021...Akins, Brooks, Bufkin then Roper?
Any bigs that could pop up?

I am interested in what you mean when you say his game is a fit for MSU. I have not seen his tape.
Every player is unique...and every coach has their individual preferences in skill sets as well. It is difficult to assess at this early date what exactly Juwan prefers. However, it appears as though he is looking for kids with more dynamic offensive skills-more than what Brooks shows. And otherwise, I am pretty sure the last thing Juwan is worried about is fan gratification-relative to the timing of commits.
His name reminds me of Artie Fufkin, the character that Paul Shaffer played in the movie This Is Spinal Tap.
I get to claim a little bit of insider status on this one, and there are people that say there is a high likeliness that Kobe picks Michigan.
My "credentials": I was an All City player in 1994 at the same school. A lot of us old school guys follow each other online and share info. While I don't know Kobe or his family, it's being said that they all absolutely love Michigan and it probably becomes the school he chooses.
Why it took this long? No idea.
While Kobe may ultimately pick Michigan, it won’t be in the immediate future. Further, Michigan isn’t even the leader right now, even with an offer in hand.
