Seeing that the Cornuskers are again ranked in the top 10, I was just wondering if they are back and will be a top 10, top 20 program from now on. What do guys think? Are they automatically going to be in that top 4 of the Big Ten every year? It's hard to believe that they lost possibly the best player in college football (Suh), and now are predicted to be even better. It should be very interesting to see how it all plays out when they join us in 2011.
Is Nebraska "back"?
Leaving rankings aside for a moment, let's hope they're back. Because if they're back, and Alabama's back (this one's pretty much inarguable), we've got pretty two strong arguments for being optimistic about Michigan's fortunes in the next couple years.
although i doubt they'll be title contenders this season. they lose 10 starters from last year's defense. i'd be shocked to see them in the SEC title game this year
They'll lose at least 2 games this year. They're definitely not #1.
I'd have to agree they had a scrimmage last weekend and they gave up 587 yards passing. They are having issues with their secondary.
No, Oklahoma was down last year and they lost to Iowa State.
Also, as a supporter of another Blue Blood program I refuse to believe they are back and I will not be accepting them as a big 10 member for as long as possible.
...Nebraska is "back." Nebraska spent a little bit longer in Purgatory than Michigan will, though.
I'm not sold on Nebraska yet. When you lose a dominant player like Suh, the defense will take a step back...their offense seems to suck too. They're out of the train wreck era, but they aren't elite.
MAYBE, MAYBE NOT
This post is super insightful...
We lost our best player and we are still expected to be better also. So I don't understand why this does not compute.
I welcome Nebraska to the Big Ten and I am willing to congratulate them in advance for finishing second to us in the 2011 Big Ten season.
No suh and an offense that was a liability doesnt bode well
Rankings are very telling
