NBA Finals Game 7

Heat vs Spurs for all the marbles.

Rabble rabble NBA rabble. Should be a good game

I heard no whining about the refs or some other travesty that afflicted the Spurs. He just stated the obvious; they had it, and they pissed it away. Plus, he stated the obvious by saying that we are entering the period known as sports purgatory.

If you can't see the obvious, then I don't know what to tell you. No whining in that post whatsoever. If Leonard ices his first free throw, this game doesn't happen. And no, I'm not a Lebron or Heat hater. Plus that if my aunt had balls saying is one of the lamest ever. Way to go there Confucius.

about arguments like these is that you diminish both teams.  Fans always forget that they are just homers.  They don't or won't give credit to a great winner and diminish the efforts and abilities of the losing team.  Thanks for you appraisal of the cliche; nothing like overestimating your own value.

Is it too much to say that if Ray Allen misses that three, the way Lebron played down the stretch in game 6, that King James is never seriously compared to Michael Jordan again?

I agree. What more can the guy do? What I don't understand is how hardcore basketball fans cannot like watching him play. I know most won't root for him, but isn't it usually a fun experience to watch the best player in the world play their sport? This seems to be going around in pretty much every sport right now, but I still don't understand the phenomenon. When Parker was on he was amazing to watch. Wade even managed to come out of hibernation to have a couple pretty great games. This was an amazing series between two great teams and I loved it - and I hate the NBA. But that was just great basketball every night. Between this and the Cup finals (and some pretty awesome soccer being played this month) we are getting spoiled right now. Just enjoy it as a sports fan.

Can't stand watching any NBA player. These guys don't even try to follow the rules anymore. LeBron clearly shoves guys as he drives the lane. At least MJ tried to be subtle about it.

Game is garbage. Every fundamental aspect of the game I was taught is no longer part of the game at the NBA level.

I think it's absurd how obsessed everyone is with his "legacy" to the point where his body language etc are scrutinized. I mean compare him to famous political figures who are scrutinized much less or even athletes in other sports like Tom Brady. I don't think it's a stretch to say he is the most heavily scrutinized athlete ever. I feel bad for the guy to the extent that off the court he really has done nothing wrong and his move to Miami was necessary because the Cleveland teams he was on sucked. I don't want to here people belittling his titles, bosh had 0 points and he was unquestionably the reason they won.

Yes, there are obvious rule breaks in the NBA. the physicality is perfectly fine. They are grown men who weigh 200+lbs and the games would be as long as baseball games if the refs called everything that they called at the level that you were taught. Traveling is obviously a disease in the NBA, but that's a different story.

As for fundamentals, Tim Duncan is the definition of fundamentals in the NBA. But how many rings does he have?

Had kept Duncan in for rebounding purposes in games 6, the spurs are champs. I'd hate to be him, he's got to think about his substitution all off season. I'd be so pissed as a spurs fan, they had a title wrapped up, gave it away more than I've seen any team ever.

And Vogel has to think about benching Hibbert.. Twice. But one decision doesn't win or lose you a title. They were close, but if it truly was wrapped up, the Spurs would have another banner, not the Heat

Has any NBA finals winning team ever won the championship with two starting five players  not scoring a single bucket?

- Mike Miller (0-5 shooting)

- Chris Bosh (0-5 shooting)
