Why would there be a section for Michigan students at Michigan State's arena?
When I went when I was in school, we just got standing room tickets and roamed around trying to find somewhere we could actually see something.
It's not unusual for a stadium or arena to dedicate a block of seats for visiting fans. It's actually pretty common.

This is the perfect comparison. Like Crisler was, Munn is badly in need of a facelift/updating.
It's my understading that this is in the works and will be completed in a couple years.
While it has been a down year for the B1G Ten, I'm hoping that with the BTN, that hockey is on the upswing. Would be great if we could add a couple more programs.

It needs upgrades, but Munn is everything that the anti-corporate members of this board reminisce about when they talk about the "good old days of college hockey."
We have a group of about 20 going tomorrow night. Mostly M fans but some married or gave birth to Sparts so mostly M fans. We're in Sections J-K (between the goal line and the blue line on the SW side).
We need as many people as possible to make the trip! Go Blue!!!
Munn is a dump, but as mentioned above the views from all seats will be solid. In the past when I've gone, they don't fill the rink so you can roam around and sit wherever.
