Moderator Action Sticky 2015

What moderating looks like on the back end.

New season means new sticky, since these get cumbrously long.

What this thread is for: It's an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.

NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted (see: "cumbrously long").

Before you look for your thread:
1. Was it offensive/political/off topic?
2. Did it link to Drew Sharp, something Mike Valenti said, or Ace Williams?
3. Is there another thread in the last few days on the board that addresses the same topic?

Hall of Stickies Past:
The first, the second, the third. the fourth.

I just tried it in three different browsers and the thread caused the screen to go a beuatiful shade of MGoBlog blue each time, so we might be SOL on this one unless the paid staff has any ideas - I don't have as much access as you may think I do as a mod. The programming end of it might contain the answer in this case, although I might see if I can open the code in Chrome and at least find the problem on the page, not that I would be able to correct it from there though.

OT: Skip Bayless Jumps Ship From ESPN

Old news, although it won't make a bit of difference for Skip - he'll still be the Co-Dean Of Shitty Take University, Artist In Residence At Troll International Academy.

Board post links to aggregator site post that was just an embedded tweet of a screenshot of a tweet from a mom of a player who says her son is awesome.

Even in the depths of offseason this is waaaaaay past the marker for what's important enough to push another board entry down, and I say that with full knowledge that the thread it was preserving is "Nike to Make Harbaugh's Khakis."

Meritocracy scares away Pennsylvania CB

I think this one may have come across as what the OP said it wasn't - recruit shaming, as it was put. Not really worth saving at this point.

Chesson had torn PCL vs Florida - ready for camp tmrw

As a reminder, any news like this makes the board almost instantaneously, so if the timestamp is more than, say, ten minutes ago, check the board first.

OT: Shavodrick Beaver

Last OT of the night: Dennis Rodman broke his dick 3 times.

We're going to clean it up a little bit as the last couple weeks of OT dwindle down.

That being said, when I told everyone to get their OT threads out while they could.......holy shit, people, this is what you had in you?

The thread concept was fine. The responses—not so much. The creepy objectification of women and casual misogyny that is far too common everywhere is also far too common here. I plan to be more active in pulling threads/posts that cross the line in the future. To be blunt, I find it pathetic that many here can't seem to handle any conversation involving young women without it veering into this territory, and it's the thing that bothers me most about our (generally great) board.
