Minnesota looks good

I watched the Minnesota game today, because I could not get the Michigan game (that was probably a good thing). The Gopher looked great in their win at Illinois, and I think that we will be lucky to beat them. Prior to the season I was resigned to the fact that the bowl streak would end, and I thought if we played really well we could muster 4-5 wins. Now, we will be lucky to get to 3.

Ted Roof has done a hell of a job turning that Minnesota defense around.  Juice racked up mondo stats but Minnesota's D never caved and made key plays.  People are going to point at Minnesota, noting how they went from 1-11 in 2007 to 6-1 this year, but that won't apply to Michigan due us mostly likely starting a true fresman at QB and loss of most of D.  Minnesota's offense was actually decent last year; Adam Weber (redshirt sophomore QB) turned in a respectable season last year but is tearing it up now.

not to be all gloom and doom, but what teams are we going to beat on our remaining schedule?

penn state? no

MSU? maaaybe but probably no

purdue? possibly?

minnesota? chances look a lot worse after today

northwestern? maybe

ohio state? only by some miracle

lets just take it one game at a time. by the looks of todays game it doesnt seem like we could win any of our remainding games, but you just never know. lets just support these guys through this rough time, hope our recruits sign and don't decommit, and look to the future. every team has rough years and all good things must come to an end. florida was bad with zook and they rebounded. usc was bad and rebounded. osu was bad with bellasari and cooper at the helm and rebounded. miami was bad and rebounded only to be bad again. lsu was bad and rebounded and so on....the point is this happens to every big program and we are the latest to go through these rough times but it doesnt mean that we will suck forever and we will be back

I don't care if we lose every remaining game this season. (I hope we don't) If we go to OSU 2-8 or whatever and they are still only at one loss, I would be SO HAPPY to ruin their season and deny them another trip to the national championship game. This is how I deal with this season, I keep believing that we will beat OSU (in maize jerseys!)

i am posting on this thing because i think its childish that people have arguments ON A BLOG about Rich Rodriguez. It's a game, we're michigan, we'll be back.
