Mike Tirico

Just was reading up on him for some reason on Wikipedia and I saw that he was suspended for sexual harrasement in the early 90's. For anyone that remembers back then, was it a big deal? I can't picture it as the guy seems like the nicest person on earth, the kinda guy that would help an old lady cross the street and the kinda guy you would want as your neighbor to greet every morning or the kinda guy that would be a nice postman.

...There is a book about ESPN that dives into the Tirico allegations (which were proven in the book) in detail. Tirico, at one point, had a reputation that he later seems to have abandoned. The allegation was that he'd hit on co-workers (female) at ESPN parties. I am at work, but will re-visit the book this evening and post more from it.

The book in question was an unauthorized biography of ESPN. I'll have to look for my copy of it. Pretty entertaining book from what I remember of it.

BTW, Tirico lives in Ann Arbor. He used to be Tommy Amaker's neighbor. I don't know why he decided to move here, but it's pretty cool. He always knows a lot about UM and gives us a fair shake.
