There is just so much more talent to pull from out there. Players slip through the cracks as well or can't meet the academic standards of certain schools so play elsewhere giving teams players that should or could play for far bigger football programs.

It doesn't surprise me at all anymore when you have games like the North Dakota game today or the 2007 win by Appalachian State (who was 13-2 that year btw).  Sometimes teams also just have your number as well.  I do think it's becoming more and more competative and you can't be expected to just roll over some of these other non-ranked schools.  Personally I like it and glad it's going in this direction.  I don't like the same teams winning all the time, it gets boring.  Yes, that includes our team.  If you don't have the struggles it doesn't make the wins or the winning seasons as sweet.

Like today .. a little nerve wracking at first and then a big .... YES!  Sheeeew! ..... at the end.  Makes it far more exciting I think.

I really feel we needed this type of game.  After watching Colorado I feel they really are a good team. As good as Iowa or Michigan State in my opinion.  So it was a great test and a much needed reality check as well.  Like our coach JH might say ..... " Needed that game .... needed that win .... needed that finish ".  " Thought we finished well ".

I feel like it was good for the players to have the "oh sh_t we are down early " moment.  I think the media and others hyped them so much that the players just could possibly have felt they are unbeatable.  I feel the game showed them differently.

Glad for the outcome and the win.  Glad for the possible message it sends the players.  There is work to be done on the O-line and Speight, well, he did fine but makes me nervous with his play when behind and feeling the pressure, but again a good learning experience as well. I also agreed with the coach to not panic and leave him in the game though.

All in all ... felt it was a great game for us and will actually have us better prepared for the harder games down the road that could be similar.  We are a team that finishes ... and I am thankful for that.

Was a great game and was awesome to watch us bounce back and finish with the "W".

While I extremely happy Michigan won, and I think they deserved to, it is not the type of game I expected. Colorado treated this game like a Super Bowl and played lights out for a quarter. Michigan made it out by not reacting like I was. This is confirmation I could not be a head coach.
Jabrill Peppers deserves the credit for this win. His presence on special teams and defense was the difference.
A lot to learn for this, but it's always better to coach 'em up after a win.
