Michigan recruiting

Submitted by mblood7 on
The Michigan sweet 16 from rivals? I know the top 5 2010 desires has been brought up on here a while back. The top 5 according to rivals is Henderson, Gholston, Nelson, Anderson, and Mathis. My question is anyone know the rest of the list? and is there anyone not on the list you think is a bigger need/can't miss player that should be added? (In Your Opinion) I'd personally like to see Munchie ( I think he's a must ) or Let's set the bar set high and put Lattimore on there and recruit him to no end. ( IMO another must ) What are your thoughts?

Read the post i was commenting on people not on the list I'd like to come to Mich. I think we have a good shot at munchie. IMO even though i think he's awesome D Rob is going to move to DB leaving us with only 2 schollie QB's ( Tate "the great" and Gardner ). We may get the OSU treat until Pryor leaves they can't recruit another QB, but that's a good problem to have.

First of all, you could avoid confusion by learning how to write in English. Second, they're not going to move Denard Robinson to DB until/unless we get other quarterbacks. They just won't. There won't be any point where Forcier and Gardner are the only two QBs and Denard's taking snaps at corner or safety or receiver. It's not going to happen.

Munchie has us at the top of his list according to the last article I read about him (which was after DG committed). That being said I do not think D Rob will do anything but QB. I remember he had the opportunity to go to UF but Meyer said he wanted him to try other positions. I think one big reason he chose UM was because RR wants to use him as a QB. Even when RR was asked what positions D Rob would play he said QB, and nothing else. I think we will get Munchie or one other high profile to committ this year and then we will be OK for a couple of years on QB depth.

If LSU offers Munchie that is where he will go. If they don't the we have a good shot. I've talked to LSU fans that feel he will get an offer over the summer though.

It astounds me how many people have already moved DRob away from QB when he hasn't even taken a snap yet. I know that his HS coach is biased, but he was quoted as saying something like, "If Denard was a few inches taller, he would be a major recruit at QB." I don't see height as being nearly as important in an offense that moves the pocket around as it is in a typical "pro style" offense. For that matter, even though Gardner is a few inches taller than Robinson, his release point is probably at about the same height as Robinson's because of his mechanics. If you are mobile and can throw on the run, or you can stop on a dime and square off, you can run an offense at 5-7. Doug Flutie and Chase Daniel certainly aren't tall, and both did well in college. I'm not going to underrate DRob until I see evidence that tells me to do so. Back to the position change thing, I agree with Magnus. It is not going to happen for at least two years because of a lack of true depth that fits RR's system at QB. I even think it would be great to see Jeremy Gallon get a snap or two for depth purposes.

Why does every post get stuck on one topic. Especially since D Rob isn't part of the question at all. You are all the millionth person to say D Rob isn't moving position FUCK i get it, it's a damn opinion answer the question or shut up already. D Rob is WAY to good an athlete to leave off the field, and everyone has anointed Tate as the savior. I personally think he'd rather play DB or Slot than a back-up for 4 years. My question is about the 2010 recruiting class, not D Rob, Not QB depth. Someone bring up Luc, Seastruck , or Brown and make a point why. Our biggest needs are QB and DB and in 2010 RB. Also It astounds me how so many people say we are set a QB. Until one of these players wins a game I'm recruiting recruiting recruiting. I dread saying this but until we get Pat White, Vince Young, Tim Tebow or Terrel Pryor we don't have QB solved.

Oh, sweet little Pookie! Your bright eyes are wet. Come over and tell me why you are upset. My Pookie won't answer. I'll just have to guess. I'll ask you some questions. You say "no" or "yes". Are you cold? Are you hungry? Did you fall and get hurt? Have you lost your old Teddy? Did you tear your new shirt? Are you sick? Are you tired? Do you need a cold drink? Well then, was is the matter? Wait! I've got it, I think... Did a very large hippo try to borrow your shoes? Are there five lazy frogs in your bed for a snooze? Did tiny green elephants with wings oh-so-blue fly off with the cookies and leave none for you? Okay, my sweet Pookie. I give up. I don't know. What's wrong, little Pookie? What worries you so? Please say what's the matter. Why are you upset? Oh, tell me. Please tell me. Or did you forget?
