If you have to suspend 10 players then you are not watching what's going on around your program. Don't give me a story about there best RB and WR they still ain't as good as Michigan's. SEC excuses. Go hump a shark.

I think Saturday's performance really put that excuse to bed for most people.  Some like Phil Steele will still cling to it (he picked Florida), but for many of the pundits that watched it, they will say it didn't matter who was playing for Florida, they were going to get lit up no matter what.

Phil Steele was on ESPN radio yesterday morning and reiterated the 10 suspensions as "their best RB, their best WR, and a bunch of OL and DL" = really phil?  He lost his credibility with me as soon as he said that.

Based on this small sample size of just one game, I think more teams should replace 10 starters on defense. It’s like shaving certain parts of your body — the new defense will appear to come in thicker and fuller. For instance, shaving Ben Gedeon at middle linebacker back in January has now given the Wolverines a full Bush in the middle.

Not only did the Wolverines beat Florida, but they beat them. Michigan dominated the Gators. This was not an equal matchup. It was a contest between a disciplined pack of cold and distant hitmen and some dudes who thought it would be fun to steal from Don Brown’s late-night poker game on the east side.

That's something a few people are still overlooking - without the pick-six plays alone, this could very easily have been a 40something-3 game. Statistically, Michigan basically beat the crap out of Florida and didn't stop until the end of regulation. That's the team I was expecting overall and that's the team we got.

It's a good thing/bad thing kind of thing.  The good thing is that people are recognizing how this was a statistical and physical beatdown.  Even Booger McFarland gave some high praise.

Michigan- front 7 is nasty, on Bama's level, Speight clearly beat qb, Evans needs to run the ball more. Legit challenger in B1G

The bad thing is that those same people, plus others, are zeroing in on Speight.  At least the Ozone author realizes Speight could very well lead the B1G in passing efficiency.

If they had all those players, they would have no excuses for getting crushed.  And we all know that they would still have been outmatched, outclassed and outscored badly.  But people gonna say what they need to make themselves feel better.  Florida sucks compared to Michigan.  Period.  Who's next on our path to glory?

When someone mentioned the suspensions, I used a sports-betting analgy. Okay, you have those two important suspensions. To balance the action we'll spot you two TDs. One kind of cancels out the other. In fact, the two suspensions had or would have had no appreciable effect on the game's outcome. Maybe instead of 11 net yards the Gators might have gained 25 or 30 net yards. Mr. Scarlett would still have needed to get past Mr. Hurst --- a formidable challenge for any RB.

So yes, even if Scarlett was playing, he would've just met up with our defense at the line of scrimmage instead of two yards behind it because "he fast".  I think that's why level headed people are going all-in on the suspension excuse...especially when UF has been a dumpster fire on offense since Tebow and Urban left.
