Michigan Monday

i know brian usually links this in mgolicious, but i havent seen in the past couple weeks. i was bored and killing time so i figured i would go see what the other side's take on this was. i, personally, think its a fair look. ignoring some of the cheap shots, he nails some of the frustrations alot of us have, especially with the defense. the point i agree with the most: "At this point, there’s no reason other options aren’t playing here. Vladimir Emilien needs to be on the field so the coaches can find out NOW whether he’s a safety, or if they’re just going to move him to linebacker like they do with all of their other safeties who don’t meet their speed requirements. " i know coaches think hes not ready to play, but wow, he's already burned his redshirt.... heres the link http://www.the-ozone.net/football/2009/NMSU/postgame/michiganmonday.htm

Bucknut propaganda. That recap is shot-through with cheap shots at Rodriguez, and assumptions about the inefficacy of the spread offense. Bucknuts are surely motivated to play up Michigan's struggles, because they've been burned by speed and the spread offense enough to know that it could turn the tables on the rivalry. Which reminds me, who has Ohio State beaten outside of the conference in the last five years? Texas in 2006 is the best I can come up with, maybe Notre Dame in the 2005 Fiesta Bowl. Michigan's wins over Notre Dame over that period are at least as impressive, and the 2008 Citrus Bowl pretty much cancels out the Texas win. And all of this while Michigan is at a fifty year low. It has to be agonizing for tOSU fans that the Buckeyes have very little to show for the last five years of dominating the Big Ten, and now even that dominance is in question, with Penn State splitting the last four games of the series with tOSU heading into this weekend's game. I tend to agree with the point about Emilien, although without seeing him practice it's hard to know where he is developmentally.

I'm willing to bet it was written with the cheap shots because the guy's writing for a different audience. If he was going to post that here, it'd be much less scarlet-tinted.
