Thought this was interesting on Rivals.

Gattis and the offense are making their presence felt on the trail!  I love to hear it.

How does board see some of these pursuits playing out?  Would be great to add some additional receiver help next class.

I think ND is a natural place to pluck recruits. They’re not greatly more successful at football and their players “play school.” Kelly is also a fuck head, so that’s another reason.

The WR board seems to be expanding with more realistic options emerging for 4 star prospects. Michigan seems to have a good chance to flip Lorenzo Styles though I’m always hesitant with his dad being a former OSU player. Besides Styles, Michigan is in good shape with Xavier Worthy and doing work for Donte Thornton (long shot). And sitting in good shape for Markus Allen and JJ Jones

UM is 8-7 vs Notre Dame during the 2000's. Imagine if they were in shouting distance of a .500 record vs. OSU. Not only would they recruit on an even footing, but they'd poach an occasional recruit from them, too. Funny how that works.

Styles is the real deal.  Very speedy.  I think he started at Pick Central 3 years.  They won state title in Division 1 in the two of the last 3 years

Let me tell you guys about EJ since I had professional dealings with him in the past before he was at his current position. My first run in with him was when he was the 247 Texas recruiting analyst.

He is a professional attention seeker. The entire article & his antics on Twitter yesterday (calling other recruiting analysts names) was because he wasnt getting attention from his recent articles & even had a mother of a recruit call him a liar.

Look at Twitter post of this article. The first tweet below it is his former co-worker at the Rivals ND site, Mike Singer, doing the “laughing with you gif.” Then EJ responded with the “devious smiling girl gif.” It’s because they both know the entire purpose was to stir up attention. The two are close.
As for the article, it’s just made up content. EJ covered ND when they cut Crippen loose. He knows the truth. Heck, even Michigan is recruiting over Crippen now. The others were just a bunch of BS he is making up, causing one of the players mom’s to call him a liar.
Then he finishes by saying UM isn’t interested in any others? Really, not top 20th ranked OL Blake Fisher or top 100 DL Rubio? Fisher went on and told stories about EJ when he was a ND recruiting analyst & how the players called him creepy & a stalker. Dude goes to HS’s to watch 16 year olds lift weights and had to be asked to leave.

The bad part is Stu Coman is allowing this to happen because he wants to better his bottom line. But I’m surprised he is allowing EJ to attack other analysts on Twitter like he has been lately.

Just remember EJ doesn’t care one lick about Michigan, or the recruits, he cares about his “brand.” Those are the words he used to use around us. He would always talk about “growing his brand.” He even tried multiple tag lines or gimmicks. Now his thing is to post a picture of his lattes in front of his car logo. And he posts crap like how the worst part of the pandemic is “he can’t get kids the exposure they need.” Dude thinks he is the reason they get offers. Seriously, he tells kids & their parents that if they hang around him they will get noticed.

Never trust anything he says. He will do the exact same thing to Michigan as soon as he moves on.
