Win with cruelty

I am fine with "mean".
Penn State twitter thinks we were far too mean, but Penn State twitter apparently doesn't understand football or have any self-awareness or anything resembling it, so whatever.

Fuck Penn State twitter.

I did see "Referines" for the first time today. What a grin.
Refs throw a flag after x seconds of holding? Clearly x-1 isn't holding. I think that falls under 'just a little rubbin', unless it's Sparty doing it in which case it's completely dirty.
Once upon a time I leaned toward 'nice', then the lost decade began. No more, I'm fine with Mean. Play to take away their will to compete.

That call was garbage - feels like a result of pre-game whining. A corner can put a hand on a guy and run with him as long as he's not yanking him back. And if a corner and WR are both grabbing it's also a no call. Both of these things happen on pretty much every route and aren't called unless something weird happens.

I’m a little torn on that one. There was back and forth hand fighting. But Metellus was beat and pulling on the jersey did hinder the receivers route. I’ve seen much worse not get called but it’s definitely not the worst call I’ve seen.

Well, it WAS a blatant penalty. Certainly you have to know by now that those get called every now and then.
Our DB's do it a LOT, we get away with it a LOT more than it gets called. Maybe just accept this one as part of the cost of our ridiculous pass defense?

Every DB at every level does it. Just depends on A. How egregious it is or B. Is this the first time referees have seen football (looking at you Sun Belt)

My mom, who lives in Mclean, VA (a DC suburb), constantly tells me that U-M gets a lot of press in the Post sports section, fwiw.

DC’s Michigan alumni base is gigantic. When I lived there (until 2013), it was actually the largest chapter in the country, bigger than even Chicago which is what I might’ve guessed would be number one.

Now we've really made it to the big time!

42-7 against the 14th ranked team in the nation. The same team that took Ohio State down to the wire and all but had that game won.
It still hasn’t really hit me yet what happened yesterday.
