Michigan Does Well in Florida
Rivals has released their updated Florida Top 100 and the news is pretty good - we've got five kids from that list, all in the top 73 (I believe Hawthorne is 73rd). Both Vincent Smith and Hawthorne make jumps into the Top 100 after neither were ranked in the pre-season top 100. Joining them are Gallon, Vlad and Mike Jones.
That's great to see that our efforts in Florida are not going unnoticed. They even mention in the article that Michigan has the most amount of commits from Florida outside of the Florida schools.
Hopefully next year will be even more bountiful. We've got a good start.
GO BLUE!

guy on that list in Denard Robinson. He would be an excellent pickup since he could provide depth at QB or CB.

that would be two more because if we get denard we get his teammate

"They even mention in the article that Michigan has the most amount of commits from Florida outside of the Florida schools."
This quote from the OP doesn't suggest that Witty is in the top 100. It just says "most amount of commits from Florida."

The Spread said that if we land Denard it would give us one more guy on "that list." I'm sure the list he is referring to is the Florida top 100 list, as mentioned in the original post.

Ah, yes. I was thinking of that "list" as being kids from Florida overall. My fault.

Urban decide enough is enough, starting with __________ _________ we will protect our backyard?
January 27th, 2009 at 5:45 PM ^
Urban hasn't offered a single one of our commits so he probably isn't that bothered.
January 27th, 2009 at 5:59 PM ^
Not one of our current Florida commits was offered by Florida, Florida State, or Miami. Denard Robinson would be the first (Florida and Miami offers).
Right now, I don't think they're quaking.

Can you provide a link to the article?

If we can get Lo Woods and Marvin Robinson out of Florida next year I think they'll be some eye brow raising then. We already know Urban is coming hard after Ricardo.

Purdue only has 2 prospects in the top 100 but they have 12 overall prospects from the state of Florida.
