I don't think it's televised but you can listen to it. Link on UCLA's sports website. Tommy Henry is starting.

6-2 Michigan at end of 5.5.

Fun fact: announcer said Michigan was in 4th place for # of different sports/teams to win a NC. Behind UCLA, Stanford and USC. Forgive me but I didn't catch the exact numbers.

Was hoping Henry could get through 7 innings.  He did not, but he leaves with Michigan still up 6-2 in the bottom of the 7th.

6 innings, 6 hits, 2 walks, 10 strikeouts for Henry.  Freshman Willie Weiss will try to pick up a three inning save, I assume.

Thanks for the heads up Wendy.

freshman Weis just loaded the bases and gave up a triple in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs. 6-5 Michigan

Michigan gets out of the seventh without further damage, adds a run on a wild pitch in the top of the 8th.  7-5, Michigan right now.

EDIT:  a 1-2-3 inning from Weiss makes it 7-5 through 8.

There it is!  Michigan with the huge win, upsetting #2 UCLA, 7-5.  Henry with the win, Weiss settles down to get the save.

This team should be really good.  Ako, Miles and Jimmy are great leaders; Nwogu and Franklin are beasts; Henry is an amazing “Friday” pitcher; Bakich is an incredible coach, plays exciting baseball, he’s aggressive (30+ steals already in the season). Come to Fisher to support them.  Go Blue!

I was actually impressed with Bakich's aggressiveness with the pitching today.

He could have saved his #1 and #2 starters for the more beatable USC and Oklahoma State.  Instead he went with #1 against the best team we will play all year.

He could have gone with a setup reliever in the 7th, but instead went straight to the closer.

He could have pulled Weiss after a weak inning in the 7th, but instead he kept with him even though it probably means we can't use him Saturday or Sunday.

Yes, this will be a fun team to follow.

He had the opportunity to put 2019 Michigan baseball on the map and get a signature victory (#2!) at their place, heck yea you go for it!  Thanks for the details of the game I was unable to stream it so I was following the box score.

Home opener next Friday should be at least 40, I’m pumped!
