Because some days it's better to be lucky than to be good...

We won despite 5 errors for the 2nd time this season (we beat Manhattan 5-4 earlier this year while also having 5 fielding miscues).

What an exciting finish, though: we loaded up the bases without a solidly hit ball with nobody out (a walk by Thomas,  a bunt single---on a sac bunt attempt---by Jordan Nwogu, and a Jesse Franklin HBP).  Our best hitter, Jordan Brewer (we're all expecting a big hit, right?) then hit a bouncer up the middle against a drawn-in 5-man infield, and on the throw home, the ball took a slightly higher hop than the IU catcher expected, bouncing off his chest as Thomas scored the walk-off run. Ruled a fielder's choice, RBI for Brewer when it very easily could have been called an error.  Game over!

Pretty much a self-destruction by IU, especially their pitcher, but we'll gladly accept it.

We're back in first by 1 1/2 games over IU now, 3 games remaining at always tough Nebraska.  We MUST play better than we did at home this weekend.

I don't know how in the world that was not ruled a throwing error.  The SS was already in on the grass, ball hit directly to him, and he bounces it 5 feet short of the catcher?  If he'd done that on a throw to first, it would've easily been an error.  But a win's a win.  Go Blue.

Yeah, saw all of them at Jug tonight. I’m a student here, and they were ecstatic.  They know they lost the series, but they’re adamant about themselves and their prospects. Needless to say they were excited... They clearly want this title and care about further accomplishments. This team might not be the most talented, but believe in them if you’re a fan. They love their team and this school.  Show your support!!!
