Michigan 2015/MSU 2013 PPG Comparison
Obviously hate everything about them, but 2013 MSU was a very, very good team--definitely the best of Dantonio's time in EL.
And more than once I've felt that our team this year plays a bit like that one--dominant defense paired with an efficient if unspectacular offense.
Notably:
- Through 6 games, MSU 2013 has won by avg: 30.5 – 15.8.
- Through 6 games, UM 2015 has won by avg: 29.5 – 6.3.
...and, if anything, we've played a better slate of opponents than they did that year.

Someone should do a quick comparison of Michigan State '13 and Michigan '15.

Has anyone done a long snapper comparison between the two teams yet?!!??!!

Don't say that - alum96 will produce a 40 row spreadsheet on the subject now

I don't know how ours compare against each other, but there is no way our long snappers have as much arm strength as Oregon State's.

I guess MSU's game against Purdue was pretty comparable to our game against Akron. Horrible team playing on the road, making surprisingly accurate big plays, a chance to win the game in the final minute...although Akron was 20 yards closer.
And sure enough, our game against UConn on the road was like their road game at Rutgers. Although we played a horrible first half, still played ugly as hell but shut them out in the second half and escaped by 3. State blew a 14 point lead in the second half, Rutgers would have had the go ahead score in the final minutes had their running back not tripped over his own foot (but it's Rutgers, so what are you going to do?)
There are many similarities so far but I think that all gets debunked when you face the reality that 2015 MSU is better than 2013 UM.

Why do we care about this at all?
