Top colleges for developing talent from recruiting classes of 2015-2016 for the 2019 NFL Draft:

Rank - Team - ADP/RT

1. Washington - 3.85

2. Alabama - 3.59

3. Oklahoma - 3.53

4. Ohio State - 3.38

5. Iowa - 2.88

6. Clemson - 2.83

7. Miss St - 2.81

8. Boston College - 2.73

9. Michigan - 2.65

10. Kentucky - 2.64

Adjusted Draft Picks (ADP) is a weighted metric to measure a college’s collective value of drafted prospects based on how early they are selected in the draft order. For example, a 1st round pick is worth approx. 1.5 ADP, while a 7th round pick is worth approx. 0.5 ADP each.

Recruiting Talent (RT) is a value of the college’s collective high school talent based on the 247Sports composite rating system. For reference, the colleges with the most high school talent have around 300 points of high school talent per recruiting cycle.

ADP/RT takes the total draft performance of a college (ADP) and divides it by the amount of high school talent available to be developed in the recruiting cycles for the 3rd and 4th years prior to the draft (RT). The ADP/RT value represents adjusted draft picks per 100 points of high school talent in the relevant recruiting cycles, which is an indication of college coaching staff’s ability to develop high school talent into NFL draft picks.

interesting.  would not have thought i'd see washington or iowa ahead of us.  also seems like miss. st. is a tremendous underperformer given their recruiting #'s.

nice family pic, too.  good on you.

Thank you. Yes I agree Miss St appears much better at churning out draft picks than really contending on the field.

The best thing I got out of this research was a dismal developmental record of UGA evident in the draft given their year after year recruiting riches. I have gotten a lot of trolling mileage on my UGA buddies.
