Men's Lacrosse @ Penn State 5PM on BTN

Men's lacrosse travels to Penn State today for a happy hour matchup with the Nittany Lions at 5PM. The game will air on Big Ten Network (hooray!).

Michigan knocked off Hopkins two weeks ago and then raced out to a 5-0 against the now-#1 Maryland Terrapins. And then the Terps woke up and went on a massive run to end the game. The game swung from brewing upset to blowout in the blink of an eye. But, Michigan is getting strong faceoff and goalie play from Nick Rowlett and John Kiracofe respectively, and they just need the rest of the team to come along. Michigan beat Penn State a few weeks ago and there's no reason they can't do so again.

Penn State is having a very forgettable season, especially by their recent standards. But, they still have Mac O'Keefe who could set the NCAA all-time goals scored record if he nets two today. So, he will be a tall order for Michigan's young defense.

I'm excited it's on TV and I may drink a few beers because I'm done with work and it's Friday. GO BLUE!!

3-3 after 1Q. Pretty fun contest so far. Kiracofe has made some big saves (and gotten some help from the pipes). But the game has a good energy to it. Papa and Clay had some nice goals for M.

Penn State's lacrosse stadium looks pretty phenomenal. The field looks incredible and...appears to be real grass? The whole thing looks great on TV.

L’carp it’s definitely artificial turf - close up on face offs shows the plastic. Any sport that forces you to start in february better have turf. The only grass field left at Michigan is at Soccer. Baseball, softball, football, Lax all artificial. They even have new artificial fields at Mitchell for IM sports.
