Men's basketball non-conference tickets on sale.

Submitted by ClearEyesFullHart on

Michigan's non-conference basketball tickets are on sale to the general public if you enter the code grthree

Warning: Arizona tickets are single seat only, and $60 a pop.

The rest of the home non-conference schedule is really really poor.  I had to look up South Carolina State to see if they had a program.  They do not.

At any rate, this is a chance to see the NCAA Runner-Ups in person without shelling out hundreds of dollars for season tickets(Or promising your first-born children to stub hub).  You know the drill.  mgoblue.com

I didn't shell out for Arizona, but now I'm having a little buyer's remorse. None of the other games are especially sexy, I may have done better on stubhub. It'll be interesting to see if secondary prices will be inflated. Last year I took my infant children to half an early season game for photo opps. We paid $2 a ticket on stubhub. Wonder if I didn't just overpay.

I would have paid $40 via mgoblue, but $60?  Nope.

And yeah, the non-conference home schedule is a joke.  Every big game sans Arizona is either on the road or at a neutral site.  I get that Iowa State is our return game and that Duke is part of the B1G/ACC Challenge and isn't our choice (though now it's three of the last four years on the road, total BS).  However, how about doing a home-and-home with Stanford instead of in Brooklyn?  How about scheduling teams that decent, RPI and reputation-wise, yet can still be defeated without cratering SOS.

It'll be interesting to see how they handle dynamic pricing for the conference schedule. Obviously I'll be paying more than $60 per for little bro, but I can't think of another game I'd shell out that kind of money for. But in terms of AZ...I'd rather go to a middle of the road conference game. Are NW basketball games going to go for $60?

Threadjack alert: regular price for tickets tonight according to Michigan Hockey Net, are $53. What a bunch of bullshit. This has pushed me from liking DB to being very irritated and mad. Talk about pricing fans out.

So what's the best route for someone thinking about catching a couple of the lower tier games? Can you buy tickets on a walk up basis? Are they cheaper through Stub Hub? Also, the Concordia game appears to be a scrimmage. Is there any difference in ticket prices/policy for that one?

In the past walk-up for non-conference was usually a possibility(not for Duke, UCONN, or UCLA of course). Now? Tough to say. I mean AZ is about to sell out at $60 per. Edit: Concordia going for $10($5 for groups of 10 or more) just like all the other non-AZ games.

Aside from Arizona, I don't know if there is another OOC game that sounds intriguing to me. Coppin State, Houston Baptist, Holy Cross? If only Iowa State and Duke were here and not away, that might help a lot.

I almost bought the family pack for the Houston Baptist game. Would have been $70 for four tickets, four drinks, four hot dogs. Fortunately, I looked at StubHub and got better seats for $7 each ($37 total with fees). I think you'll be able to get all non-conference besides Arizona for next to nothing. Lots of people bought season tickets and won't want to go to all of those games.

I agree with the above comments about the schedule. Man, those are some bad games.

I may be in the minority, but I think $60 for the Arizona game is cheap! Considering we were the runner up last year, that's not a whole lot of cash to pay to watch a marquee game. Maybe my price sensitivity is dulled because I grew up going to Jayhawks games where the cheapest ticket in the house was $250+.

Just seems to be normal, IMO.
