My ideal scenario: OSU fans have been yapping all year about how they want Bama, and they can beat Bama. Well, they get their just dessert. But not in the way they want.
MSU wins an ugly, ugly nail biter of a game, 14-10, goes to the Rose Bowl, and gets curb stomped by Stanford. Meanwhile, OSU ends up playing Bama in the Sugar Bowl or Orange Bowl, and we're reminded yet again why you never bet against Nick Saban when he has a month or more to prepare.
OSU, limping into this game wondering what could've been, gets outclassed up and down the field by an angry Bama squad, 42-14. OSU gets its long awaited reality check, Meyer retires for health and family reasons, and for the first time in a few months, Michigan fans can breathe a sigh of relief in that even if Michigan had a bad year, OSU belongs in the same boat with the rest of the Big Ten when it comes to national perspective,
If Michigan is bad, I want my rivals to go down with me. Conference pride be damned.

Never bet against Saban when he has a month to prepare?? Are you forgetting what Utah did to them in the Sugar Bowl a few years ago. I can't see this Alabama team being really motivated to play in the Sugar Bowl either.

OK, I like your scenario better than mine. I just really don't want MSU winning the B1G (at least with OSU it's "expected"), but I could live with it if what you describe were to play out.

Just hate Ohio too much to ever want them to win under any circumstances. But I don't live in Michigan surrounded by Sparty fans, so I understand those who feel otherwise.

They all suck.
