Friday:  Michigan, 13-4.

Saturday: Michigan, 12-3.

Sunday: Michigan, 3-1.

Sunday's game was over in 1 hour 45 minutes.  The pitch clock, a comfortably-sized strike zone, and lots of soft contact from batters of both teams made this a lightning-fast game.

Freshman CF Jonathan Kim from Brookfield, Wisconsin, went 6-for-12 on the weekend with 7 RBIs. Senior pitcher Noah Rennard pitched an inning in relief on Saturday before Michigan blew the game open, and then he got the start and pitched 6 innings on Sunday.  He gave up only 1 run over those 7 innings while holding opponents to a .160 batting average.

Good start to the conference season against one of the teams that was projected to be mid-pack  or a little lower in the conference along with Michigan.  It shows that Michigan's pitching staff is still tough at the top, no matter how much they have struggled when they have had to go outside their top 5 or 6 pitchers.

Michigan's next home Big Ten series is in 2 weeks, April 7-9 against Nebraska, who (right behind Iowa) is a top contender for the conference championship.
