A little quarantine recruiting humor

Michigan made the top 7 for 5 star QB Speedy Flowers.

All recruiting stories these days come with some controversy. Coach Hammock from NIU retracted Flower’s offer before re-offering

Flowers is the no. 84 recruit according to ESPN and a 5 star according to 24/7

6’1” QB out of Joplin HS. With a 3.45 gpa, he obviously plays school during the week.

Speedy Flowers is someone's made up player in the NCAA 14 video game. Despite being made up, someone made an instagram account for Flowers, and they are acting like the recruiting in the game is real life. This included dropping the stereotypical top 12 social media posts that every major recruit does, and even messaging the real life Norther Illinois Recruiting Coordinator.

as I said the other night (and got negged to fuck for it because although I voted for Whitmer, I found the subtle dig against her fucking hilarious)

man ... this quarantine got y’alls sarcasm meter fucked up and y’all lost your ability to take a joke.  Calm the fuck down people.

Gonna get negged to fuck again because I am not panicking like everyone else

Can you imagine if Fleck had Harbaugh's unlimited resources?

Fleck is recruiting at historic levels for a program not close to any major population centers and the worst winters of any major D1 program.  Harbaugh isn't recruiting at Hoke levels. (I know he's had some high ranked classes, but it was due more to class size than top talent).

They've had 2 classes that high in the past 17 years (as far back as I wanted to look)

53,53,59,48,26,35,52,57,59,67,57,63,57,63,46,59,38,45,38, 8 (Current, obviously will drop) but on pace to be at least in the 30s again.  Aside from 2 outlier classes over a decade ago Minnesota has never consistantly recruited like Fleck.

Also, the 26th ranked class had 5 top 100 juco kids which really inflated their ranking.

I don't think people appreciate how bad Minnesota recruits historically. They have been better than 40th in the team rankings 4 times in the past 20 years.  Fleck has 2 of those classes and on pace for a 3rd. The other two classes were inflated by juco kids.

Fleck avg class ranking: 40

Before Fleck avg class ranking as far back as 247 goes: 52

And this isnt including Fleck's current class which has the 93, 300 and 307th prospect.  So he's recruting 12 teams ahead of Minnesotas historical average.
