Let's have a football discussion: Can we get Cam McGrone and Josh Ross on the field at the same time.

If this defense is gonna take another step forward we need these 2 playing together instead of rotating. Glasgow is a great kid and a very hard worker, but is a step slower than Ross and maybe 2 steps slower than Cam. I think he should probably be rotating with Hudson. I realize Ross was on the sideline in a boot, so it might not even be an option currently, but when the time comes, we need that speed we've been hearing about all off season.

Play the best athletes. The rest will take care of itself. Too many times at Michigan the best athlete doesn't play because he is an underclassmen. These young guys will take lumps but their improvement will be huge week to week.

This reminds me of that old football adage, the most popular guy on the football team is the backup Will/Mike Linebacker....But seriously, Glasgow, at least according to Space Coyote, has been Michigan's best linebacker through the first three games. He did struggle a bit covering crossing routes on Saturday, but I'm not ready to toss him to the trash heap. I think McGrone looks like a good option as well, but I might slot him in on passing downs if Glasgow is struggling to cover fast RB's or just rotate the three guys, Ross, McGrone, and Glasgow. I know it's always all or nothing, but maybe the truth is somewhere in between here.
