Justin Feagin

At today's presser RR said he wants to see Feagin play a bit in the slot position, and perhaps to get some reps at qb as well. I was under the impression that Feagin would redshirt. I guess I was wrong. Did I imagine this? I hope he'll get to see time at qb. It might be fun to see what happens there.

If Feagin starts at QB, we will hit depths that no one can have possibly imagined.  He has struggled to grasp even the basics of the offense, lacks a strong arm, and just simply isn't a Division I QB.  Rich Rod took a flyer on him as a Plan C in case we didn't land Pryor or another dual threat QB; unforunately for us, Plan A and B failed, and we were stuck with Threet, Sheridan, and Feagin.  Playing Feagin will not do us any good and the results on the field will get very ugly.  We need to stick with Threet.

Yeah -- I'm not saying start him or anything. I just might like to see a qb sweep or something to see what he looks like out there. I guess ideally this would happen with Michigan winning big, but it doesn't seem like that will ever happen this season. I actually think Threet will develop into a good qb over the next couple of years.

FEAGIN! Oh man this season keeps getting more interesting.  I mean really, if we are going to be horrible at least its exciting to see what will happen next.

Feagin might not be as bad of an option as we think.  The last we heard about him at QB was before the Utah game 2 months ago, and at that point he hadn't grasped the offense, but he had only been learning it for a couple months.  Double that knowledge, add in the fact that no one is doing awesome at QB, and all of a sudden Feagin isn't that bad of an idea.  Might be worth trying.  What's the worst that can happen?  He throws 2 picks and we lose to Toledo?  Because that already happened.  So it might be worth a try.

In the presser he flat out said that Feagin would play as a slot receiver. He's been practicing there for weeks, not practicing at QB.

maybe for a play or two, sweep-like as mentioned before....  didn't we do it with either Hemingway earlier this year/maybe last year... shift from slot to wing/rb and take a direct snap?
