Juco possibilities?
I remember last year towards the end of December we kind of got in on that DE from the south. Sorry but his name slips my mind. I know it's very difficult for JC players to get their credits to transfer, however does anybody know if we might have any sort of shot at some defensive Juco's? (Outside of Witty if he's considered one)

Witty is definitely not a JUCO.
And no. The coaches aren't even pursuing any JUCO defenders with any consistency, because it's a waste of time.

what I figured. Only couple I can really remember are Austin Panter and I think Russell Shaw. Too bad I know Saban really reloaded Bama's D when he first came in with a few that had pretty big impacts.

The coaches offered DE/DT Wayne Dorsey a while ago, and they offered CB Mike Harris somewhat recently. I haven't heard any indication that they're seriously considering choosing Michigan, though.

Taking JUCO's would be a sure-fire sign that we have become MSU circa late 1990's. Have to recruit.

If taking a guy like Terrence Cody means a program is MSU circa late 90's, then you can sign up just about everyone in college football for that.

I think Parnell McPhee is the name of the Juco DE we were in on last year. I remember watching him either sack Tebow or hit him for a loss, wondering what could have been. He wouldn't have supplanted Graham obviously, but I wonder where he would have been relative to Roh.

I saw DeQuinta Jones (not a JUCO) do the same at Arkansas and had that same thought. Dude must be good if he's playing as true freshman.

Didn't RR comment a week or two ago that it is pretty much impossible for UM to admit JUCO players, saying something along the lines of, "there aren't many transfer credits from junior college to the University of Michigan?"
