Jeremy Gallon at QB?
If Rich Rod can't get Denard Robinson or another QB prospect in this class, you think they would let Gallon try some snaps? Maybe implement a single wing package for certain plays? It would be pretty awesome but it's very unlikely I think, I just wanted your opinions on the matter.

They ran some with Feagin last season and he would probably be the one to do it next season if the coaches wanted to install a package for strictly running the ball. Tate can pass AND run, Rich Rod won't need to put in a running package.

im glad that we're back to speculating who richrod will make into a quarterback. i'll give you a hint: NOBODY. at best gallon might throw a forward pass on a trick play

the QBs we have plus Forcier are the main guys. Gallon and co. are being brought in for other positions but I would love to see some shenanigans and trickery when they get in the line up.

Rodriguez gave direct snaps to Minor, who's never been a QB. I certainly think it's possible that he'll give Gallon a snap here or there, although Feagin has a better arm, so I'd trust him more.
On a side note, I really don't know why Rodriguez had such an issue with Feagin throwing the ball. Feagin had a decent arm on film. My only guess is that the offense sucked already so he didn't want to make it even more turnover-prone by having Feagin make a bad read and throw an INT.

Feagin struggled with the playbook, and based on reports from practices, could barely execute simple bubble screens and zone read plays.
He was plan D or E in QB recruiting for a reason, and it certainly showed.

I have a hard time believing he had a worse arm than full-time RB's like Ronnie Brown and Darren McFadden, and they've been able to throw the ball on occasion. When you're 3-8 or 2-7, there's very little reason not to let a guy like Feagin fake a run and then launch a bomb down the sideline or something. It probably wouldn't have changed the outcome of any games, but you never know...

I obviously don't know WHY Rodriguez never had him throw.
But, when Feagin played the last 3 series of the OSU game in which we were trailing by 30+ and wasn't asked to throw a single pass, that said everything about their belief in his arm that I need to know.

Tendon in his throwing hand. I bet he couldn't risk blowing that up.

But if I remember correctly, nobody except Sheridan and Threet threw a pass this year. You can't tell me - convincingly - that not one single skill player had a good enough arm to run a throwback to the QB, throw a bubble screen, throw a quick hitch, etc. The fact that the coaches didn't have Feagin throw tells me absolutely nothing about his arm, because I've seen him throw on video and he has plenty of arm strength to launch a jump ball down the sideline or at least to attempt a quick hitch. Like I said, if Darren McFadden and Ronnie Brown and Ladainian Tomlinson can throw passes in the NFL, Justin Feagin - who just finished playing QB somewhat impressively in high school - can complete a pass in college.

I think I heard Brown has a noodle arm and that Minor has a stronger and more accurate arm.
